Commitment to Progress

The purpose of this note is to introduce the Coach K Commitment to Progress Policy. The purpose of the policy is to stress the importance of making a commitment to make progress with your personal exercise goals. As a Coach, I want to be surrounded by people that work hard and make progress, and I want my clients to acquire this orientation.

With this as background, I am proposing two standards for all of us:

  1. Attendance: Everyone is expected to have an 80% attendance rate each month. For those who are unable to meet this standard, other strategies for meeting your exercise goals will need to be considered, including the possibility of switching to private lessons. In rare circumstances, it may be necessary to reconsider whether Coach K Sports Performance is the appropriate facility for you to use in pursuit of your fitness goals.
  2. Progress: Now that our efforts are guided by short term written goals, I expect to see noticeable effort toward the achievement of those goals. In instances where goals are not achieved due to a lack of effort, other strategies for meeting your exercise goals will need to be considered, including the possibility of switching to private lessons. In rare circumstances, it may be necessary to reconsider whether Coach K Sports Performance is the appropriate facility for you to use in pursuit of your fitness goals.

Screen Shot 2016-05-23 at 1.42.11 PMI DO NOT want Coach K Sports Performance to be like those big clubs that sign clients into a long-term contract and keep taking their money, while actually hoping that they don’t show up. The intent of providing the two standards above is to promote personal responsibility and the likelihood that everyone can achieve their exercise goals, especially if we work together to do so.
